Kaily Koutsogiannis

Client Liaison Officer

Wise man Willie Nelson has been known to quote “on the road again, I just can’t wait to get on the road again!” Kaily Koutsogiannis (although slightly uncomfortable with referring to herself in the third person) has traveled along many different roads over the years following the beat to her own drum and as far as her e-tag will let her.

A highlights package of Kaily would read as follows: A descendant of the Muse of Epic Poetry – Kaliopy (purely by her own calculations). In the 20th Century, one highway exit led Kaily to graduate with a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University majoring in Jewellery, Object Design and Photography. One roundabout led her to work in television production at SBS as a Production Coordinator, segment Producer and Director as well as writing, producing and starring in the Kaily’s World segment on the Here Comes the Neighbourhood TV series which thanks to the law of attraction led her to the stage at the Actors Centre Australia where she graduated from early in the 21st Century.

Skilled in multitasking, Kaily has been able to juggle both her love of the arts with administrative, box office and customer service work. Most recently, Kaily worked with the Historic Houses Trust Members Office, a volunteer organisation and registered charity dedicated to conserving significant heritage sites in NSW, 11 of which are museums open to the public. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Kaily displayed excellent customer service skills and a high level of administrative support to the team and over 3000 Members.

So, with her GPS ready for the next destination, bottled water, SPF +30, tales of her trials and tribulations, Kaily just can’t wait to get on the road again, because all roads lead to Zecca!

Cosmetic Medical Treatments

Our Treatments

At Zecca we offer the most technologically advanced and innovative non-surgical cosmetic treatments currently available. Our professional medical team are fully trained to offer facial and skin rejuvenation with a full range of modalities.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to re-volumise areas of the face that have lost volume, and have the effect of plumping the skin, making it appear smoother and fuller. They are commonly used to enhance the natural contours of the face, but can also be used in facial and nose re-shaping. Areas that are commonly treated with dermal fillers include lips, cheeks, under eye region, forehead, temporal hollowing, mouth corners, nasolabial lines, nose, brows and static wrinkles.

There are currently a wide range of dermal fillers available, and, at Zecca, we offer them all. The choice of filler is personalised to best suit your needs.

Anti-wrinkle Injections

These treatments work by relaxing specific facial muscles that cause expression-related lines and wrinkles. This results in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Wrinkle relaxing treatments are most commonly used for the treatment of frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet, neck and can also be used to sharpen the jaw-line and for facial shaping.

Laser Skin Treatments

Lasers use a specific and focused single wavelength of light that is able to induce powerful changes and improve the skin with relatively low risk and downtime. It can be used for the treatment of most skin-related concerns, including pigmentation problems, rejuvenation, vascular conditions such as broken capillaries and Rosacea, tattoo removal, scar reduction, excessive or unwanted hair growth, skin tightening and improving skin texture and wrinkles.

Non-ablative lasers, such as our Gemini laser and Medlite q-switched YAG, are designed to accurately and specifically target a particular problem, without affecting the surrounding tissue. At Zecca, we offer combination treatments which may include Omnilux/LED treatment and microdermabrasion. Our comprehensive range of lasers and specialised cosmetic equipment give us the ability to treat most skin concerns and most skin types.

At the initial consultation which involves a comprehensive assessment of your skin, an individualised treatment plan will be made to best treat your skin type and concerns.

Chemical Peels

Skin ageing is due to genetic factors as well as environmental factors including sun exposure and smoking. These result in an uneven or blotchy appearance to the skin due to uneven pigmentation, age spots, broken capillaries, fine lines and deep wrinkles.

Chemical peels work by removing different layers of skin, allowing damaged cells to be removed and replaced by fresh new skin.

There are many different types of peels available. At Zecca, your initial consultation involves a comprehensive assessment so that the right peel can be chosen to suit your skin type, problem and individual schedule.

Fraxel re:pair

The fraxel re:pair laser is an innovative new laser system that can rejuvenate or resurface sun damaged skin.

The benefits of the fraxel:

  • Improves tone, texture and luminosity of the skin
  • Evens out skin pigment
  • Improves lines around eyes and mouth
  • Improves acne scarring

Acne treatments

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions. It can affect people from ages 10 through to people in their 40’s, and affects 85 per cent of Australians aged 15-24 years old. Acne usually clears spontaneously for many people by their mid 20’s. However, for some young people acne is a far more serious problem with the possibility of permanent physical, mental and emotional effects.

At Zecca we use a combination of multiple modalities to help with preventing and treating acne, as well as treating scarring caused from acne. Your personalised treatment plan may include topical treatment, medical grade skin care, chemical peels, oral therapy, PDT (photodynamic therapy), and LED/Omnilux/Blue light treatments.

Sclerotherapy

At Zecca, we recommend sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins and reticular veins on the legs. This is a commonly performed and simple procedure where the surface veins are injected with a sclerosing solution. This causes the vein to collapse, and close over time.

By eliminating these damaged veins from your legs, there is not only a cosmetic benefit, but it can also improve some of the physical symptoms that often accompany spider veins.

Hand Rejuvenation

Because our hands receive so much exposure to the sun and other elements, they are one of the first places to start to show visible signs of aging. The most common visual signs of aging on our hands include loss of volume which makes the hands appear bony and the veins appear more prominent, dark “age spots”, and precancerous lesions.

Hand rejuvenation treatments can help restore the hands to give them a more youthful appearance. At Zecca, we use a combination of treatments that may include dermal fillers, lasers and Photodynamic Therapy.

Laser Hair Removal

Long-term hair reduction can be achieved with laser treatments. This involves the use of a very specific wavelength of light that is attracted to the pigment in the hair follicles. The light energy destroys the follicle making it unable to grow hair. The best skin-hair type combination for laser hair removal is fair skin and dark hair.

Liposculpture

Liposuction is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures. The reason is has become so popular is that many of us have specific localised body areas that we wish were thinner, and the results tend to be excellent. Liposuction is used for body contouring, providing appropriate candidates with remarkable improvements.

At Zecca we perform tumescent liposculpture, which allows us to more precisely remove fat and results in better body contouring.

Liposculpture can be performed on a wide range of body area. These may include: tummy (abdomen), hips, thighs, saddle bags, love handles, arms, neck and jawline.

Tattoo
Removal

Whilst tattoos were once considered permanent, it is now possible to remove them with laser technology. In comparison to all other methods of tattoo removal, laser provides the greatest chance of returning the skin to a pre-tattooed state without scarring. Lasers such as the Medlite Q switched YAG are highly attracted to the tattoo ink pigments. They emit extremely short pulses that transmit minimal heat energy to the skin, but are able to shatter the tattoo pigments and allow the body to remove the broken down tattoo particles. Usually multiple sessions are required to remove professional tattoos.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhydrosis, or excessive sweating, affects approximately 1% of the population. It commonly affects the palms, armpits, and soles of the feet. It is an embarrassing complaint, and can cause emotional distress, social withdrawal and impact on many daily activities.

B*t*x injections have been approved for the treatment of this condition, and have been found to be safe and effective.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a process that deeply exfoliates the skin using a gentle vacuum that brings skin into contact with a diamond coated head. It can be used for various skin conditions, including acne, or just to help improve dull or rough skin. Transient redness may occur after microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is a safe and effective procedure.

Omnilux Red and Blue light

Suitable for both men and women, Omnilux Revive™ is a non-invasive light therapy treatment that reduces the appearance of the visible signs of skin ageing. It is neither a laser nor an IPL treatment. At Zecca we combine this light treatment with Qswitch YAG and microdermabrasion to improve your skins luminosity tone and texture. Omnilux Revive™ is a completely painless, pure non-laser light source that is not an ultraviolet or infra-red light.

Photodynamic Therapy

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a treatment that uses a drug and a light source to treat acne, precancerous skin lesions and some cancerous skin lesions. PDT works by targeting the cells that cause these problems. PDT can be used on any part of the face or body, e.g. back acne and rough patches on the backs of hands.

Poly L lactic acid for HIV lipoatrophy

Most HIV positive patients report that a devastating aspect of their condition is the facial lipoatrophy, a fat wasting phenomenon caused by the prescribed medications that drain the face of its natural plumpness.

Authority to supply poly L lactic acid through the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme (PBS) for the treatment of facial lipoatrophy is available under section 85 arrangements of the National Health Act

Dr Jacinta Keoghan is an accredited sculptra injector.

All patients must be referred from the HIV physician to the accredited injector. The Medicare Benefit Scheme (MBS) will provide the following services for eligible patients:

  • The initiation of a course of treatments, limited to injection session (item 14201)
  • Subsequent injection sessions, up to a maximum of four adjustment treatments, followed by one maintenance injection session every 2 years (item 14202)

Cosmeceuticals &
Medical Grade Skincare

Medical Grade Skincare takes a scientific and medically based approach to protecting, refining and repairing your skin. Medical Grade Skincare are a range of products tailored to suit most skin types and can be used on sensitive skin, rosacea, acne and facial pigmentation.

Medical Grade Skincare products contain active ingredients which are not available for purchase at department stores or pharmacies. These products deliver your skin the right combination of active ingredients at the correct concentrations to ensure excellent results.

Scarring

Acne scarring is either a problem of excess tissue (hypertrophy) or a loss of tissue (atrophy). Scars with excess tissue can be treated by combining injections and laser therapy to flatten the scar.

Scars that have resulted from a loss of tissue can be improved by the use of a fraxel re:pair laser or medical dermal rollers.

Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Dental Options

WHITENING, or “tooth bleaching”, is the most common cosmetic dental procedure.

ENAMEL SHAPING removes parts of the contouring enamel to improve the appearance of the tooth. It may be used to correct a very small chip. The removed enamel is irreplaceable, and may sometimes expose dentin.

CONTOURING – Tooth reshaping Dental reshaping and contouring is a procedure to correct crooked teeth, chipped teeth, cracked teeth and overlapping teeth. It is also a procedure of subtle changes. A few millimetres of reduction and a few millimeters of tooth-coloured laminate can create a beautiful smile when performed by a cosmetic dentist. Tooth reshaping, or dental contouring, is commonly used to alter the length, shape or position of your teeth.

BONDING is a process in which an enamel-like dental composite material is applied to a tooth’s surface, sculpted into shape, hardened and then polished.

DENTAL BRIDGES

VENEERS are ultra-thin, custom-made laminates that are bonded directly to the teeth. They are an option for closing gaps or disguising discoloured teeth that do not respond well to whitening procedures.

GUM LIFT is a cosmetic dental procedure that raises and sculpts the gum line. The procedure involves reshaping the tissue and/or underlying bones to create the appearance of longer or more symmetrical teeth.

Esthetic and tooth colored back Direct (in office composite) and Indirect (lab fabricated and harder porcelain or composite) restorations.
