Our Skin Treatments

While everyone knows your skin is the first thing people notice about you, too few also realise it also is your body’s largest organ.

It makes sense to keep its appearance and overall health in top condition. At Zecca, we offer you a broad range of skin treatments. We can address everything from redness and pigmentation, to lumps, scars and bumps, to an overall rejuvenation of your skin’s suppleness, clarity and texture.

Skin naturally loses its lustre as you age – especially in Australia’s harsh climate. With Zecca, you can defy the passage of time and keep you skin healthier looking for longer.

Our treatments cover a spectrum of recovery times, some require a few days of rest while others can be performed entirely within your lunch break.

Skin treatment omnilux light therapy

Omnilux light therapy

Unfairly, the signs of ageing often advance faster than actual the passage of time. Omnilux Revive means you can do something about it. A non-invasive light therapy treatment suitable for both men and women, it reduces the visible signs of skin ageing. Completely painless, it is a pure light source – not laser, not ultraviolet, not infrared – that delivers great results.

Microdermabrasion

Deeply exfoliating your skin is an effective way to address many conditions including acne, roughness, dullness and poor circulation. Microdermabrasion is a leading technique that uses a combination of negative pressure and a gentle abrading surface coated with minute diamonds to remove old skin, stimulate new skin cells and reveal the healthier layers beneath. While some temporary redness may occur after microdermabrasion, it is still one of the safest, most popular and most effective procedures.

Skin treatment dermapen

Dermapen

An ingenious treatment option that triggers your natural healing and growth factors, Dermapen micro-needling creates tiny channels in your skin encouraging your body to produce new collagen. It’s entirely harmless, but your body interprets this stimulation as damage. In turn, this encourages several natural healing responses – including the production of collagen and elastin.

Chemical peels

Skin resurfacing through a TCA chemical peel removes tired outer surface layers of skin to allow new, healthier skin to emerge. In this skin-resurfacing technique, a solution of TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is applied to the face to help with sun damage, facial wrinkles, uneven skin tone and pigment abnormalities. The concentration of the peel varies according to need. Downtime can be minimal or last up to a week.

Skin treatment photofacial rejuvenation

Photofacial rejuvenation

A special procedure using laser technology, photofacial rejuvenation works to decrease pigment across your skin – including the otherwise tricky hormonal pigment, melasma. Further great effects include an increase in collagen production, reduction in oil production and improved skin tone and luminosity.

Melasma treatment

Melasma is a patchy brown, tan or blue-grey discolouration that commonly appears on the upper cheeks, upper lips, foreheads or chins of women 20-50 years of age. It is thought to be related to sun exposure and hormonal factors. This pigment is difficult to cure, however there are effective controls. We address melasma with a low and slow approach including microdermabrasion, facial mask and three types of light and laser treatments.

Skin treatment skin tags

Skin tags, moles, lumps and bumps

Your skin will naturally develop irregularities as time passes. These come in many forms and usually signify nothing more than normal ageing. Laser technology, however, gives you options to resolve undesirable signs including red raised spots, skin tags, syringomas, milia, moles and many others.

PRP Facial

An exciting new approach appealing to people seeking a more natural method to facial rejuvenation, is regeneration with your own cells, more specifically autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP). PRP facial uses a concentrated source of your own platelets to revitalise your skin. PRP releases several different growth factors and other cytokines that repair tissue damage and encourage cell renewal. We will often team the PRP treatment with a Dermapen, so you are getting the advantages of a comprehensive inside-outside rejuvenation.

Skin treatment photodynamic therapy

Photodynamic therapy

Combining an advanced pharmaceutical, ALA (aminolevulenic acid), with a light source, photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a great treatment for acne, precancerous skin lesions and even some cancerous skin lesions. During the PDT procedure, both the light source and the ALA work together to target the cells causing these problems. PDT is suitable for any part of your face or body. It is also as effective for back acne as it is for rough patches on the backs of a hand.

Cosmeceuticals and medical-grade skincare

Medical-grade skincare takes a scientific and medically based approach to protecting, refining and repairing your skin. For this approach there are a range of products tailored to suit most skin types and can be used on sensitive skin, rosacea, acne and facial pigmentation. Medical grade skincare products contain active ingredients that are not available for purchase at department stores or pharmacies. These products deliver your skin the right combination of active ingredients at the correct concentrations to ensure excellent results.
